It was considered on this list for "its signature adobe architecture and Old World charm.” Santa Fe is a nice weekend getaway from Denver, Colorado or even from Phoenix, Arizona.

Here are some family vacation ideas for Santa Fe.

As soon as you enter the city, you will notice different style of architecture their brown adobe style buildings. While roaming around the city it feels like one is in some other land. As if it is not part of USA as far as culture is concerned. Everything about this place is unique.

It is a nice little quiet town circled by 12000 feet high Sangre de Cristo mountains circle the city.

Tip: The ski area (Santa Fe Ski) is only 45 minutes drive from Santa Fe. You may choose to live in one of these cheap but authentic Santa Fe style hotels (http://www.budgettravel.com/bt-dyn/content/article/2005/06/04/AR2005060400432.html) or in one of the beautiful ski resorts on the way to Ski Santa Fe. If you wish to take break from skiing and prefer to roam around in the town, you will find your self in midst of museums, art galleries, performing art centers , unique craft shops and distinctive dining place. There is something for people of every taste.

Interesting Experience:
There is a very unique Indian Restaurant in Santa Fe that uses ancient Indian science of healing for preparing their dishes. It is called "Ayurvedic Cuisine". (http://www.999dine.com/nm/annapurna/Index.html) This particular science or way of living promotes healing and balance.
Other Ideas for the trip:
